Ambedkar Jayanti 2024: School Cultural Program Plan

Theme: "Empowering Minds, Building a Just Society: Following Dr. Ambedkar's Vision"

Objective:

• To commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and educate students about his contributions to Indian society.
• To promote the values of equality, social justice, and fraternity.

Date:

• April 14th, 2024 (or a school day close to it)

Program Outline:

• Opening Ceremony (30 minutes):
  • Welcome address by the principal or a senior teacher.
  • Garlanding of Dr. Ambedkar's portrait.
  • Short speech highlighting Dr. Ambedkar's life and achievements.
  • A short prayer.
• Cultural Program (60-90 minutes):
  • Speeches: Students deliver speeches on Dr. Ambedkar's contributions to the Indian Constitution, social reform, and education.
  • Skit/Drama: A short play depicting key events from Dr. Ambedkar's life or highlighting social issues he addressed.
  • Songs: Patriotic songs and songs related to social justice.
  • Dance: Folk or classical dance performances reflecting Indian culture.
  • Poetry Recitation: Students recite poems about Dr. Ambedkar or poems that promote social equality.
• Concluding Ceremony (30 minutes):
  • Prize distribution for participating students.
  • A vote of thanks by a student or teacher.
  • National Anthem.
